David
Really looking forward to the discussion on your question. In my spoonplugging days I have absolutely zero experience with Reservoirs or man made bodies or water. Natural lakes are my domain here in SW Michigan. This sounds like a great discussion starter.

Re: Question on Fish movements?

Yes, both ways as long as they’re moving - IMO. Easier to sit on the spot and wait for them to arrive, but many articles Buck wrote mention catching a final few on really long casts as the school moved away (back). Or even situations like the Florida breaklines where there really wasn’t a casting p...

Re: Question on Fish movements?

Well many my confusion is just that confusion...
When Buck talks about fish movement and fish being catchable. They can be caught moving toward shallower water? Can they also be caught moving back toward their sanctuary waters, the deep??

Question on Fish movements?

As fish toward the shallows is this when they susceptible to being caught? Or can they be caught when moving back to the deep? Can they be caught moving in either direction? Shallows or toward the deep>?

Hal, Have shown a lot of different fishermen the same thing I did for you. It gives me great pleasure not only that a student listens but my biggest joy comes when I see a person expend good effort into the learning. That effort always brings success, something that is lacking with many. You cannot...

Re: This is the way it is

Had a phone call from a guy who wants me to take him out and show him where the walleye are in a couple of lakes. After a bit of conversation, I told him that there is a reason he is having trouble catching them. This may seem harsh but the truth is the best way to go. I told him that he had never ...

Re: Angling Archaeology

Yikes If I watch this video some 8 years ago, I would not be a Spoonplugger today. instead I watched Jim Duplex's explanation of SpoonPlugging, and my history of spoonplugging speaks for it self. Mr Angling Archaeologist is so typical of the Fly Fishing water floggers of the world. I liken it to a G...
