Re: Livescope

Yesterday Deb and I went out to our lake and found that the group of bass by the sunken island on the inside turn related to the saddle were not only still there but more in numbers. The larger fish are deeper than the rest and still suspended about ten feet down in 16 feet of water. It seems like ...

Re: Lake Eufaula

I haven't been down there in maybe 30 years, but I won a few state held tournaments on that thing during the winter..."way back when". Most of the contests were out of Chewalla Marina on the Alabama side. It can get ROUGH out on that thing after a front. I remember one tournament the weath...

Re: Terry O'Malley on the basics

Chase uploaded this clip recently. Great 5 minute clip of Terry going over the basics and lure presentation. https://youtu.be/G3nHKwBwEhY Terry is laying down the gospel in this lecture. Pay heed....or blunder forever. If you can't hit past that dropoff on the cast, and then crank that clanking spo...

Re: Spoonplugger Monel Wire Line

That's a good video that Buck made about controlling that line length along rip rap. (Otherwise those rocks down there can impoverish an oil prince). And keep on looking for the "dirt" in those highlanders with all those cliffs and rock ledges. That dirt in a little wash can be a goldmine....

Re: Straining the shallows

I realize this is "against the rule book" but I did it for years. (Buck approved of it. He said...."that gives you a shorter line out there and you can keep that lure in position better". I used wire line (with the 5 foot no-bo leader) exclusively when doing all my trolling..!!!!...

Bravo Zulu! Well whadaya know! Another bird farmer! Famous ship, the Lex, a.k.a "The Blue Ghost". Judging from the absence of a Mickey Mouse hat that is not during air ops Don't recognize that bird behind you. Old sea dog is right. I'm on my way to 85. My time was a couple of years later ...
