Re: Bill Dance Exposed?
A diving cameraman isn't likely to be in good position every time a good fish is caught. Why not "catch" the same fish again if big bucks are at stake to have a successful fishing show? Or even set a hook into a tree, then cut frame. They're producing a quasi fantasy anyhow. I'm sure there...

Re: Puzzled
Buck says if you want to catch fish consistently you may have to go to him for he may not come to you. He also states you may have to wait at the contact point for him. So this is were the big ?.... I've wasted a few good days worth supposing the contact point "had to be" this or that fea...

Bass guy (?) Giving Buck credit way up North.
I thought of y'all when I saw this--a pro angler giving direct credit to Buck for how he was fishing this day, at least. And 8 minutes of more or less depth, speed coaching, no other BS.

Re: Would You Rather? (Just for fun.)
Ok, I should not have so limited the fish part of the question. Is there any imaginary one day spoonplugging catch (numbers, size, species, etc) for which you would "trade away" your Nov. 3 vote privilege?

Would You Rather? (Just for fun.)
Please keep personal politics out of this thread--it's hopefully just a silly pub-type question.
Today, Tues, Nov 3, 2020, you are given the choice between voting (or having your vote counted) and catching (by your own wits) a 7.5 lb largemouth on a Spoonplug. Which would you rather?

Re: Buck trivia question
Thank you for posting that pic, Garry. Im sure we all recognize some pretty elegant lines in the Tadpolly. However, i'm supposing the thing doesnt swim extremely fast, and obviously not very deep. (At least not without some extra weight.) Therefore, I'm rethinking my interpretation of what Buck mean...

My Spoonplugging beginning (and ending?)
I should have told my story long ago in "Meet n Greet" forum, but back then I had wanted to include some Spoonplugging fish pictures from 70s and 80s. Alas, too many cross-country moves, and I can't find the shoebox storing the pics; keep hoping to find it. Anyhow, it's probably time to st...

Re: Buck trivia question
Friends, The CLOSEST answer here is the Mudbug. Please allow me to backpedal just a little, considering someone asked me via private mail, "Just what did Buck say he would use?" I think normally Buck always used Spoonplugs, and did not say he would (need to again) use the other lure. Also,...

I also asked administrator to delete thread if he agrees it appropriate to do so. Regret my smarmy tone throughout.

I deserve that for failing to read my own silly (and nitpicky) tone. So sorry for how I said all that. The answer isnt even something I ever understood, but just a curiosity.

Re: Buck trivia question
Dear John Bales, Be assured that I do read each of your posts (at least those I have encountered) two or three times over. However, since this forum is "The Pub," that implies we (at least I) may be speaking a bit "cheeky" after a few drinks. Your answer introduced a couple straw...

Buck trivia question
Maybe this question has a well known answer among Spoonpluggers, however, I havent read it anywhere. My answer is what Buck told me personally, circa 1990, when i visited him in Hickory. What is the ONE lure that Buck said could do a very good job in harvesting frenzied bass, cornered in a school, i...

Re: Pulling the plug on YT comnents section?
Jim, thats funny enough, "Do you recognize us from youtube?" Heh, heh. Personally, i value being anonymous and i have avoided ever registering with facebook or other social media (only with educational platforms like here.) It might be different if or when i suppose social media would make...
