Re: Tournament Trolling
I run into Tourney guys a couple of times per year on my lakes. As I go about the guidelines I always think these guys just do not know what they are missing by not being able to troll. Then I remember sure they know what they are missing...the $25,000 to $50,000 dollars they paid for their boats. Ha!

Re: First time using Active Target
Went to Apache lake yesterday. Air temps 55 degrees. Finally warmed up to 78 degrees. Water temps 56degrees. Later in the day i saw 60 degree water. Looks like a late spawn this year. Normally they would have spawned already. We have been having front after front and severe ones at that. Keeping wa...

Re: This is what I see coming
Hal, to my knowledge it isn't used at all while trolling - or at least I’ve not heard of it. It is used from a casting position off the trolling motor Hal, My gut feeling is that it will not help at all in our Contour Trolling. I could be wrong. I do believe that it will really shine when getting i...

Re: Snow, cold and ugly
March of 2019 and 2020 water was open early March. March 4 2020 was my opener This year we may be pushing those early dates back. I 'm hoping for at least a St Patrick's day opener just to be on the water. Ice is thick here this year and the long term forecast does not have a lot of rain As JB menti...

Re: Sitting on the dock of the bay
Can we get back to fishing? Great looking walleye MA, maybe we'll get back to Minaki someday. The electric reel is a Daiwa Leobritz S500. Steve is exactly correct about why that area and those depths were being trolled. Today,,,, I look for spots such as this on every lake. However maybe ...

My Bible says Talking about the man in the Oval Office, Trump. I think that God gave the Republican senators one more chance to get rid of him and, when they failed, I think he is looking at America just like he looked at Egypt when they had the Israelites as slaves. And he said if you won’t get ri...

I think there is a new Virus in the air. Last night I was told that our living room and dining room need painting. Thanks JB because of Covid we did not fish together last year. We kept to social distancing...Seems that Paintovirus does not need very close contact. Your ears will be burning when tha...

Vernfuse Welcome to the board. Rip out the wheel or sell it and get a tiller. You will be hindering yourself from the start with a wheel boat. You simply can not control your fishing any other way. Steve Tiller boats are they only way you can learn how to spoonplug and once you learn you will never...

12/01, i put the boat to bed for the season. I had a fine year and look for to the days of lengthening day light hours. Firewood processing for 2021-22 provides some much needed exercise. This winters wood is in good shape 20-21 and I do enjoy being in the woods this time year prior to the deep snow...

Re: Not all fish read the same book as we do
This little smallmouth lake we fish is so much fun because you have this small 80 acres of water that load up with smallmouth that leave the river and winter in this little lake. Its 30 feet deep, has 2 parking spots at the ramp and if you don't get there early, the farmer lets us park along the ro...

Hal, You continue to get better!!!!! Why? Because you may have had as much or more time on the water than I did. You are self motivated and need no one to push you. You want this!!!!!!!!!! So you put forth the effort that it takes for success. The more success you have, the more you want to see!!! ...
