Re: Obsessed??????????

My Spoonplugs mentor Eddy Shaffer was a chicago blues guitarist by trade. He fell on hard times about 10 years ago..... He calls to tell me he’s been living all winter without heat/electric (this is mid feb in northern Wisconsin) and ask if I can loan him the $$ to get the utilities turned on. We ge...

Re: Snow, cold and ugly

one of the few positives of living in northern Illinois is our early spring fishing fishing on the local cooling lakes. Regardless of weather there’s 70 degree water and fishing can be stupid good the first couple months.

Re: My Number 1 Goal

This is why a 3 party is needed so badly. We've got christians voting on the side of abortion  . Chicago had 4000 shooting last year and the Democrats refused republican help? The far right and far left are equally terrible people

Re: Structure

Bink, In the past 46 years, there have be hundreds of humps I have not fished because of the words must and facts . Also this only pertains to largemouth bass. All those humps you passed in the last 46 years held fish. Maybe not largemouth but SM bass, walleye, pike strippers etc would all use this...

Re: Structure

Bink, I would tend to agree with your comments, except both Mr. Perry and Don Dickson use the word Must and Mr. Perry has told us that everything in the Green book and his 9 volume home study guide are facts that he has proven time and time again . I started to reading the Green Book in 1974 and th...

Re: Structure

My take on this is Buck didn't want people straying from his program bc he knew most people would struggle. He knew some bass would use humps and some live their whole life shallow. He also knew if you focused more on structure that went all the way you’d be much more likely to find a school and a s...

Re: Braidwood CATS

Ok sorry didn't mean to start any argument. But I can relate to what you both are saying. Santee Cooper lakes are like this. Lots of tournaments in early season and bags of big bass weighed . But after the spawn it gets tuff . Once the spawn is over you can go there and have 160 thousand acres of w...

Re: Braidwood CATS

My point is after March/April.. I don't see anyone catching them. If there are BIG schools, they would be caught. Show me schools of bass being caught in summer months and beyond.... This is the dumbest argument ever. There are pictures of boats loads of bass in March and April. 100 bass days repor...

Re: Braidwood CATS

To say braidwood lake is not a good bass lake is truly an under statement! An estimated 9,382 hours of angling effort was expended by tournament bass fishermen in 2019 which resulted in a total of 1,326 bass being weighed in. Tournament catch averaged 47.3 bass per event. The average size for the “...

But that’s my point. They don’t leave the lake. We are just not fishing at the right spot at the right depth & speed. They are there

Re: Braidwood CATS

The lake is loaded with bass. Big schools of them. It has got consistently better every year the past 15 years. I literally called Brett ( Iv never called Brett before) this year and told him he had to get out there that the bass fishing was insanity. Yes after April fishing gets tough but the fish ...
