Jim,
At around six minutes in the video Buck mentions a natural white sandy lake in Wisconsin. Any clue what lake?

Welcome to the forum Tim. A good number of us fish the lakes around you. I'm sure we could meet up sometime.

Don't evaluation of a Saddle is Gold. I love a good saddle situation. Those found between a bar and a hump, with good depths, are the deal.

Re: How to Troll a Spoonplug on a Hump?
Joe, It appears that you have a clear water situation with weeds that deep. I remember struggling with the Green Book guidance when I started Spoonplugging in 1987. Most of the presentation of lures Guidelines relate to reservoirs with good water color (no weeds) and a target species of LMB. There a...

Re: How to Troll a Spoonplug on a Hump?
The hump size really makes a difference. A small hump might call for a simple trolling pass, but a larger hump might require a lot more work. Please provide more specific information on your particuLar lake. Navionics has so many lakes with reasonably accurate maps we could maybe give more specific ...

I'm really looking forward to this series. I first learned of Buck through Don's ProStructure commercials back in the eighties. First I bought the Green book, then the Study Course, then Dickson's seminar tape set, then...

Re: fishing in 2018!
Jim, I'm with you. Last year I was busy working on and selling my house. Then buying another and working on it. Time for some fishing. Heading to Tennessee around Knoxville in April. Not sure what lakes yet, but Melton Hill, Fort Loudoun, Watts Bar, and Norris are possibilities. Also planning on the...

Re: Pre fronts Post fronts
Brian, As always, great reference. Buck nailed it. To me, Bottom line is, follow the Guidelines, get out there any time you can, and take what God gives you. I personally have caught so many fish while mapping/ interpreting a structure that I think I should just go about my fishing that way. Gotta L...
