Walleye Question
While trolling and casting known structure sitiuations I have been doing well on all species except walleyes. I know there is a decent population. I work from the weedlines down to the deepest water in the area. Should I try a smaller spoonplug with wire when I work deeper if maybe the 700 and 800`s...

Casting Spoonplugs
Fran; Regarding having trouble keeping spoonplugs bumping bottom on the cast their can be a few things that come into play. In my personal experience when you are anchoring deeper 8 to 10ft. because of a weedline, the size spoonplug you need will depend on the sharpness of the structure. For instanc...

Cold Water Trolling
Thanks guys, Spoonplugging up until ice up. What a beautiful thing. Now all I want for Christmas is a late freeze up, and more spoonplugs. Putting the boat away for the winter is overrated anyway!!! Beckman44.

Cold Water Trolling
I have a few days to fish in the next week and thought I would try for muskies before the season ends. My question is with the water getting colder and never having trolled spoonplugs this late in the season before am I better off going to live bait, or can I still trigger them by bumping bottom on ...

Jump Type Lures
For several years I have used jigs or spoons for my jump type baits. I have noticed that several of you guys like to use 3/4 ounce or more blade baits. My question is how do you fish them? Do you hop them like a jig or do you reel them along the bottom? Beckman 44.

Lake Choice
Giving the choice of different lakes during cold front conditions, would it be better to choose a lake with deeper structures and average water color or a shallower lake with better water color? I know that water color is a big factor but being shallower would the fish be more affected? Beckman.

Focus On Fun
Quite often when we get on the water we are faced with things like cold fronts, boat traffic, and numerous other things. I used to let these things bother me until I changed my mind set. Now if an area I was going fish is affected by this I just use it as an oppurtunity to map and learn other areas ...

Under water humps
A question to you guys about fishing humps that are surrounded by deep water. I know that Buck says if a hump does not top off at 10 feet or less, bass would would probably not use it. I often see humps that top off at say 12 to 15 feet, and was wondering if not for bass would they be productive str...
