Re: Hey from East TN!

Welcome to the board E. TN. What Brian said is true, but don't just read the book; STUDY it. Every time you go through it you will find something you missed or forgot.

Re: Spoonplugg size chart

Skyscraper here's one from the ABCs of Spoonplugging . I cut it out, laminated it and taped it to the inside of the Plano box in which I keep the spoonplugs. The green book gives the size and weight of each spoonplug. You could pencil it in next to the series number. After a while you will know the ...

Re: trolling reel

Re: trolling reel

Joe for you as a beginner you might want to stay with the equipment Buck recommends. His book and home study series are geared to the rods, reels, and line he describes. Once you get some experience under you belt, or under your keel, you can start deviating from what's described in the written mate...

Re: Found a Structure Fishing Guide ?

Appears to be just another muzhik trying to cash in on what Buck studied, learned, and wrote about. Don't remember anything in the green book that matches what the article called "Fishing Strategies". He is partially correct in his definition of a thermocline. A "cline" is a line...

Re: It's ok now to fish for deep water walleyes

Thanks Jerry. I'll rush right out and buy one, or make my own from a 4/0 barbless hook tied to a 12 oz sinker, snap hook over the bend in the hook and voila down she goes.

I imagine it's worse now. Be interesting to see what they are like on the way down for Christmas. Merry Christmas and Happy N...
